Norway Spruce
Scientific Name: Picea abies
Short, needle-like, evergreen foliage is dark green. Pendulous cones are 4 to 6 inches long but do not occur consistently from year-to-year. Has the same conical shape as the White Spruce, but has the signature drooping branches when it grows up. Short, sharp, stiff needles. Can tolerate dry locations better than other spruces, but prefers loamy, well-drained locations.
